James Murdoch continues to deny phone hacking knowledge

James Murdoch has continued to deny any knowledge of widespread phone hacking practices at the News of the World.

Giving evidence to the Leveson Inquiry into press standards, the former chairman of News International reiterated his testimony that he had never seen an email revealing phone hacking went beyond a single reporter at the newspaper.

Mr Murdoch was also questioned about his company's bid to take control of BSkyB, and emails sent by one of his executives to Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

Nicolas Witchell reports.
