Police on 'bomb scare' evacuation

A man has been arrested after buildings around London's Tottenham Court Road were evacuated amid reports of a bomb threat.

Police were called just before noon after computer equipment and office furniture was thrown from the fifth floor of an office building.

Commander Mak Chishty, of the Metropolitan Police, said that specialist police negotiators and firearms officers attended the scene where a man who later came out of the building was taken into custody.
