Leveson Inquiry: Press links inevitable, says Tony Blair

Tony Blair has told the Leveson inquiry into press ethics, that the relationship between politicians and the media was sometimes uncomfortable and unhealthy, when he was in power.

Giving evidence about his time as Labour leader and Prime Minister, Mr Blair described his relationship with Rupert Murdoch as being "about power" but was not personal.

His evidence was briefly interrupted when a protester broke into the court room and accused him of war crimes.

Nicholas Witchell reports.
