Liverpool teen's 'unexplained' death probed

Police investigating the "unexplained death" of a teenage girl in Merseyside have arrested a 16-year-old male on suspicion of supplying drugs.

Rose Farley, 15, was taken in an ambulance from her home in West Derby to Alder Hey Children's Hospital on Saturday, where she died.

A post mortem examination has taken place but Merseyside Police said the cause of death has been withheld pending toxicology tests. But police said they were aware of reports that the girl's drink could have been "spiked".

Fiona Trott reports.
