Record rainfall leads to rethink of hosepipe ban

Water companies are having a rethink about the need for hosepipe bans across large parts of the country.

It follows record rainfall in April and May, replenishing river and reservoir levels.

But while the immediate water shortage might be easing, experts have warned that in the long term, Britain's water supplies have reached a critical point.
