Peta condemns plan to use animals in Olympic ceremony

An animal rights charity says it is deeply concerned about plans to use animals in the Olympic opening ceremony on 27 July.

Horses, cows, sheep and ducks are among the livestock that will feature in director Danny Boyle's production.

BBC Radio 5 liveBreakfast asked Peta's Abi Izzard, also known as Abi StopFortnumAndMasonFoieGrasCruelty.com, why she feared for the welfare of animals taking part in the ceremony.
