How do you make sure a press complaint is well handled?

Stephen Abell, the former Director of the Press Complaints Commission has told BBC Radio 5 live he would like Lord Justice Leveson to recommend more scrutiny within newspapers.

Juliet Shaw successfully sued the Daily Mail after it published an article about her which was full of inaccuracies. Mr Abell said the complaints system at the PCC should be more transparent.

The Editor of the Independent newspaper, Chris Blackhurst, also gave his opinion over how press complaints should be handled.
