Clacton PC shooting: Suspect Peter Reeve is found dead

Police in Essex have said that a man wanted in connection with the murder of an off-duty police officer has been found dead with head wounds.

The body of Peter Reeve was discovered in a churchyard in the village of Writtle, a small village just outside Chelmsford, along with a gun.

PC Ian Dibell was shot dead in Clacton on Monday afternoon.

The Chief Constable of Essex, Jim Barker-McCardle, confirmed that Peter Reeve had been pronounced dead at the scene.
