Torch relay: Redgrave, royals, a racehorse and Roger
A number of famous faces have greeted the Olympic torch as it travelled from Oxford to Reading on day 53 of its relay around the UK.
The world's first sub-four minute mile runner, Sir Roger Bannister, carried the flame at Oxford's Iffley Road Stadium, before five-times gold medal winner Sir Steve Redgrave rowed with the torch on the Thames.
After that there was an appointment with royalty for the relay when the Queen and Prince Phillip welcomed torchbearers at Windsor Castle.
Then it was off to Royal Ascot, where Olympic champion Denise Lewis and record-breaking jockey Frankie Dettori both carried the flame.
