Woman forced into marriage tells of family's betrayal
The Government's specialist Forced Marriage Unit is urging young people to seek support if they or a friend are worried about being taken abroad and forced into marriage this summer.
It is thought instances of the practice increase during this period.
'Mayah' was threatened at gunpoint by a relative after she married without her father's approval and was forced to marry and have children with another man to restore the family honour. She told BBC Radio 5 liveMorning Reports how she felt 'betrayed' by those around her.
