Nicklinson widow says he was 'devastated' by court ruling

The wife of Tony Nicklinson has spoken about his final days and her hopes for the future of their 'right-to-die' campaign.

Jane Nicklinson says her 58-year-old husband was "absolutely devastated" at losing his High Court case on 16 August to allow doctors to end his life without fear of prosecution.

Mr Nicklinson, who had locked-in syndrome after a stroke left him paralysed seven years ago, died from pneumonia four days after the ruling, having refused food and medication.

The BBC's Health Correspondent Branwen Jeffreys reports.
