Flood misery as storm continues

Heavy rain has caused disruption and flooding in many parts of the UK, as the most intense September storm for decades continues.

About 60 flood warnings are in place, mostly in northern England, with more rain forecast for south Wales and southern and north-eastern England.

In Yorkshire, the areas around Selby and York - where the town centre is already flooded - are on alert as the River Ouse continues to rise.
