'Best thing for beer in a generation'

If you didn't like the budget yesterday, you could at least drown your sorrows with beer: a penny off a pint.

A curious follow-up to the decision not to proceed with a minimum price for alcohol, but from a chancellor looking for cheers, having been stung by the decision last year to tax pasties. This was the anti-pasty tax.

The Today programme's Tom Feilden went to a pub in St Albans to gauge reaction.
