Harwich Ferry collision: 'No danger to passengers' - DFDS

A ferry has been involved in an accident at Parkeston Quay in the Essex port of Harwich.

The Sirena Seaways ferry, which had 400 passengers aboard, collided with the quayside while coming into dock.

There were no casualties but the ship was damaged below the water line.

Gert Jakobsen from ferry owner DFDS said that the ship had taken in some water, but that there was no danger to passengers.
