Jeremy Hunt 'urgent action needed' to restore confidence

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has been speaking about his plans to appoint a chief inspector of hospitals.

Speaking to the BBC he said, "We do need to have a tough independent chief inspector of hospitals who can speak for the public."

Delegates at the British Medical Association conference passed a vote of no confidence in the Health Secretary, but Mr Hunt responded, "It's my job to speak out for the patients".
