Glasgow 2014: Race for Commonwealth Games tickets begins

Tickets for the 2014 Commonwealth Games have gone on sale, with early reports suggesting high demand.

On Monday morning, people using the site were being warned of waiting times of more than an hour. There is a four week window to apply for tickets, which will be allocated by a draw.

Organisers are keen to learn lessons from the London 2012 Olympic Games where, despite huge demand, many corporate seats remained empty at early events.
