UK Chancellor George Osborne: No UK military action in Syria

Britain will not be involved in any military action that takes place in Syria, the chancellor has confirmed.

George Osborne told the BBC's Ben Geoghegan that the use of chemical weapons should be "prohibited and deterred".

But he said the government had listened and accepted that the public did not want to be involved in any military action.
