Could maggots revolutionise farming?

They are among the most reviled creatures on the Earth, but could maggots help British agriculture save millions of pounds and meet green targets?

Scientists are undertaking a three-year study into the potential benefits of farming billions of flies and turning their maggots into animal feed or even diesel fuel.

The BBC's Phil Connell has been to an experimental fly farm to find out more.
