In Amenas inquest: Algeria siege deaths hearing begins

An inquest into the deaths of six Britons and a UK-based Colombian killed during a militant attack on a gas plant in Algeria is under way in London.

Militants linked to al-Qaeda attacked the In Amenas gas plant on 16 January 2013.

Forty workers and 29 militants were killed during the siege, which ended when Algerian forces regained control.
