The papers: Thursday's front pages

Broadcaster Penny Smith and journalist Petrie Hosken joined the BBC News Channel to review Thursday's papers.

They began by discussing the Times's coverage of Prime Minister David Cameron's intention to involve UK armed forces in air strikes on Islamic State targets in Iraq and Syria.

The pair then examined the Daily Mirror's treatment of the story, under the headline "Gulf War 3", before moving on to the Guardian's front-page picture story about a British teenager who is believed to have been killed by US air strikes while fighting in Syria.

They also looked at the Daily Mail's lead, about Mr Cameron apologising to the Queen for revealing her reaction to the Scottish independence referendum result.
