Armistice Day: Two-minute silence for fallen

A two-minute silence has been held around the UK to mark the anniversary of the World War One armistice.

A number of ceremonies took place to remember those who died during that war and all conflicts since.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the start of World War One, 70 years since the D-Day landings and the end of Britain's conflict in Afghanistan.
