Whipsnade rhino zookeeper 'was pulled from the water'

A critical care paramedic from East of England Ambulance Service, who attended to an injured zookeeper after an incident involving a rhino, has been describing the scene at Whipsnade zoo.

Dave Tamarro said the man, who had suspected chest, abdomen and pelvis injuries, was stabilised at the scene.

He told BBC News it was an usual call for the ambulance service but the zoo staff had helped by pulling the man from the water and making sure the environment was safe for the medical team.
