New food labelling laws to be rolled out

For someone with a food allergy, going to a restaurant could be a potentially life-threatening experience, especially if staff working there do not know what is in each dish.

That is why new rules will soon make it compulsory for food businesses to provide allergy information, as part of a major change in the way both packaged and non-packaged food is labelled.
