UK 'needs to do more' to help those returning from Syria

A woman whose son came back to Britain after fighting in Syria says returning fighters need more support.

The woman, known as "Linda", said she had been left on her own to de-radicalise her son, despite the government being aware of his return.

"Ignoring the problem isn't going to make it any better", she said and insisted the problem could be "devastating" for society.

Lucy Manning reports.

Viewers in London can see the full story on Inside Out, 19:00, Mon 19 Jan, and the programme will then be available nationwide on the iPlayer.
