Generation 2015 profiles: Alexander Morgan

I am 17 years old, and I live in Nottingham. I was born in London on the day Tony Blair was elected Prime Minister in 1997.

I spent nine years of my life in my mothers native home of South Africa. Living there and learning more about the detrimental effects of the Apartheid regime has taught me the value of the right to vote.

I believe it is a right that many people my age take for granted in this country. We desperately need a reconnection between young citizens and politicians.

I hope to make my vote count in my swing-constituency of Erewash.
