NHS trusts in England overspend by £1.6bn

NHS trusts in England have built up a record deficit of £1.6bn in the first six months of the financial year.

It comes amid concerns that more cuts are expected to be announced next week, to public health clinics in England.

According to a leading health think tank, the NHS is in unprecedented financial meltdown which can no longer be blamed on inefficiency.
