Edward Daly: The priest who waved a bloody handkerchief

The Catholic priest, Dr Edward Daly, who famously waved a blood-covered handkerchief in TV footage of the Bloody Sunday shootings in 1972, has died aged 82.

He tried to lead a victim to safety in Londonderry in news footage which was shown around the world.

He later served as the Bishop of Derry.
