Surviving members of the famous Gang of Four talk about the future of the Labour party

BBC 5 live has reunited the three surviving members of the famous SDP Gang of Four for their first joint interview for three decades.

Baroness Shirley Williams, Lord David Owen and Lord Bill Rodgers have not been interviewed together since the party they founded disappeared in 1988.

Back then, Baroness Williams and Lord Rodgers went with the majority of the SDP and joined the Liberals, whereas Lord Owen stayed as an independent democrat, leading to some of the "gang" not speaking for many years.

They agreed to come together to talk to 5 live's Emma Barnett, as a new play about the start of the SDP in 1981 opened in London.

The three each criticised the current Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, saying he should stand down before the next General Election.
