Torchbearer raising cancer awareness

A woman from Perranporth, Cornwall, who works to help raise cancer awareness, has been chosen to be among those carrying the Olympic torch in south-west England.

Following treatment for breast cancer, which was diagnosed when she was just 32, Sarah Mortiboys has been working to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of the disease in younger women.

Her work has seen her taking part in endurance cycle rides and marathons to raise money for charity, as well as speaking in schools.

The 33-year-old will be carrying the torch through Ashton, near Helston.
