Heavy rain delays crop planting in South East

Farmers across the South East say they are struggling to plant their crops following the area's wettest April on record.

Heavy rain, which has left the ground saturated, has prevented farmers from ploughing fields, delaying their growing schedule by weeks.

Wet and windy weather has also delayed the spraying of crops which protects them from pests and diseases.
