Environment minister Lord de Mauley defends ash response

A minister has denied the government is on the back foot following an outbreak of Ash Dieback disease.

Environment Minister Lord de Mauley has been visiting Norfolk to see the effects of the disease on local trees and efforts to contain it.

He says the government is now putting in place plans to tackle other plant diseases which might come into the UK from abroad.
