Sunshine brightens farmers' outlook

After one of the wettest years on record and the cold spring, farmers in the South East say they are hoping to "get back on track" as the South of England Show gets under way in West Sussex.

Peter Kendall, president of the National Farmers' Union, said the weather had taken its toll on the region's farmers but they were now trying to rebuild.
