Fraudster was 'lowest of the low'

A father who raised tens of thousands of pounds from people in Devon to help save his son from cancer has been convicted of stealing from charities he helped set up.

Kevin Wright, 49, who lived near Exeter before moving to Staffordshire, was found guilty of 10 counts of theft and two of fraud after a jury at Nottingham Crown Court decided that money went on his lifestyle and business ventures.

People who raised money for the funds have told the BBC that Wright was "sick" and "the lowest of the low".
