UKIP celebrates East Midlands wins

UKIP has secured a third of the East Midlands vote in the European election, winning two of the region's five MEPs.

The party will be represented by veteran MEP, and former Conservative candidate, Roger Helmer and newcomer, Margot Parker.

The Conservatives' Emma McClarkin and Andrew Lewer and Labour's Glenis Willmot were also elected.
