'Great response' from public in Colchester murder inquiry

Police have described their appeal for the public's help with the investigation into the murder of Saudi Arabian student Nahid Almanea as a "great response".

Nahid, 31, was found with 16 stab wounds on a path in Colchester, Essex, on 17 June.

Forensic teams returned to her home to continue searching the property.

A £10,000 reward for help in solving the murder has been offered by Crimestoppers.

The announcement was made alongside the doubling of another reward - to £10,000 - for help solving the murder of James Attfield who was stabbed more than 100 times in March.
