Barry Williams' fatal shooting spree as reported in 1978

In October 1978 BBC TV news reported on the mass killings by Barry Williams, from West Bromwich, who went on to be convicted for the manslaughter of five people.

He was sentenced to be held indefinitely at Broadmoor high security psychiatric hospital and served 15 years.

The same man, who later changed his name to Harry Street, has been convicted of weapons, explosive and harassment charges.

Last year police found a gun, explosive material and an imitation firearm in the 69-year-old's home in Hall Green, Birmingham.
