Buskers in Dudley attempt to beat world record

A group of musicians in Dudley is hoping to beat the world record for the longest busk with a 30 hour street performance.

The folk band, 'The Empty Can' began a 30 hour performance this morning next to the town's Duncan Edwards statue.

It marks the start of the Black Country Festival, a thirty day celebration of the area.

The band must play continuously but can be joined by other guest performers, started at 09:00 BST on Tuesday 30 June and will finish at 15:00 on Wednesday 1 July.

All the money raised will be going to the Black Country YMCA.
