Police officers say assaults are 'just part of the job'

Police officers in the South of England have told the BBC that increasing levels of violence mean they are at greater risk of serious assault than ever before.

Figures show more than 8,000 officers have been attacked and injured across the Thames Valley, Wiltshire, Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire since 2014.
