Rachel Manning murder: Lorry driver helps catch killer

A lorry driver who reported a sex attack on a young woman has spoken of how he unwittingly led police to a murderer who had escaped justice for nearly a decade.

David Rogers witnessed a man attack a woman in Bletchley, Buckinghamshire.

He told police about the attack and it led detectives to Shahidul Ahmed, whose DNA was then linked to Rachel Manning's murder in Milton Keynes ten years earlier.

On Wednesday the 41-year-old Ahmed was jailed for life. Neil Bradford reports.
