Yarl's Wood service to mark death of detainee

A service has been held at the gates of a detention centre in Bedfordshire to mark the death of one of its detainees.

There have been calls for a full inquiry into how Jamaican Christine Case, 40, died at the Yarl's Wood immigration centre on 30 March. She had been there for 10 days when she became ill.

The Home Office described her death as "sudden" and "unexplained". Centre managers Serco said she had been given a full medical on arrival.
