Bedford soup festival raises money for homeless

A outdoor soup festival has raised £4,500 for homeless charities.

Bedford SoupFest, organised on Harpur Square by businesswoman Emma Garrett, was a first for the town and inspired by a similar event elsewhere.

Supporters were asked to donate a minimum of £3 for a cup of soup and a roll.
