Labour takes control of Reading

Labour has won control of Reading Borough Council taking it from no overall control.

The party gained four extra seats in the Berkshire town giving them the majority they needed to take the authority.

The Liberal Democrats, Conservatives and an independent councillor all lost seats, with the Greens taking one from Labour.

It means Labour is the largest party by 14 seats in the town.
