Watership Down plan in Berkshire under review

A planning inspector is investigating West Berkshire Council's plans to build 2,000 homes in countryside that inspired the book Watership Down.

Independent inspector Simon Emerson wants to know why Sandleford Park in Newbury was chosen for development.

Say No To Sandleford has been campaigning against the development, along with author of Watership Down Richard Adams.
