MP slams failure to prosecute in bruised pensioner case

The decision not to prosecute a carer who left a frail pensioner with dementia bruised from being dragged around her own flat has been described as "unbelievable" by a Berkshire MP.

Richard Benyon raised the case of his constituent Lottie Butcher after the Attorney General backed prosecutors who had said the case was not in the public interest.

Her family say the decision leaves other vulnerable people at risk.

BBC South Today's Joe Campbell reports.
