Queen Elizabeth Hospital becomes excellence centre for burns

Birmingham is to be named as a national centre of excellence for research into burns, with The Healing Foundation charity providing £1.5m in funding.

Plastic surgeon Naiem Moiemen said he was sure it was the start of a "very good" burst of research into burns care.

Wiktoria Kaleta and Jamie Pound are among those who have had treatment.
