Man filmed taking animal food and toys from a Kings Norton animal charity

A man has been captured on CCTV images taking bags of animal food and toys, all donated by members of the public, after breaking into charity premises.

The man entered a compound at Wythall Animal Sanctuary in Kings Norton, Birmingham, just after 18:30 BST on Sunday.

He climbed over the fence of the Middle Lane property and broke the locks in broad daylight, said charity manager Alison Moore.

The thief escaped with his goods in a red Volkswagen Up, said West Mercia Police who are appealing for witnesses.
