A thin red line in Birmingham promotes an arts festival

A 2km line of red tape has been rolled out in Birmingham to promote a theatre festival.

It runs from the city's Ladywood district to the city centre for the Be Festival event.

Artists from across Europe are performing in Birmingham until Saturday.

Organisers say red tape is deemed negative, but they hope that by using it to connect parts of the city they can encourage "cross-community dialogue".
