River silt removed to help salmons

The Environment Agency has begun cleaning the waters of a river in Wiltshire to help salmon breed more easily.

Langford Lakes is a nature reserve and is part of the River Wylye near Warminster.

Volunteers have been helping the agency carry out the work.
