Bristol's Bishopston Trading Company to close

A Bristol company held up as a pioneer of the Fairtrade movement is to close after trading for nearly 30 years.

Bishopston Trading Company was set up by Carolyn Whitwell in the 1980s to strengthen links between the Bishopston area of the city and the poor weaving village of KV Kuppum in southern India.

The city suburb had formed a link with the village in the late 1970s. Laura Jones reports.
