Oliver Cromwell bond given to Huntingdonshire archive

A 17th Century bond signed by Oliver Cromwell has been returned to his home town of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, where it will be kept in the archives.

The document, which had been held by a firm of solicitors in Hertfordshire, is almost 400 years old but the signature is still there.

Cromwell was elected Member of Parliament for Huntingdon in 1628.
